Last weekend, we went to Southern Pines on Sunday to celebrate cousin Kileigh's two year birthday. Picture with Aunt Becca and Uncle David, getting ready to walk downtown for lunch:
Sitting with daddy, legs crossed:
Like I said, Mr. Personality:
Getting better doing it by myself:
8 months inside, 10 months outside:
Why not put it on the head? Lots of things go on the head these days . . . bibs, blankets, clothes, toys, food, water, etc, etc . . .
Loves his dad!! the whole face lights up when Matt walks in from work, then a series of grunts and excited little "Ugh, ugh's" until Matt comes over to give him some attention . . .
I'm feeling a little sorry for Grey, as his one year birthday is approaching. It will certainly be difficult to have any type of grand celebration, with his new baby brother having just arrived. I'm sure he'd be just as happy with a cupcake all to himself, but I'm feeling guilty. A lot of the attention he receives will be redirected to the new baby. But, hey, what's better than a brother? (well, the appreciation may have to mature a bit!)
I am currently 35 weeks pregnant, with just over a month to go. I am getting NST's (non stress tests) and ultrasounds once a week now, due to my amniotic fluid being a little on the low side. But, the baby is doing great . . . moving and kicking through most of the day (and night, it seems). I'm not near as swollen as I was with Grey, and I've really been feeling quite well, just a little tired. Grey is quite intrigued with my big belly. He'll pull up my shirt, stick his finger in my belly button (which is now an "outie" I'm afraid to say), and then proceed to slap my belly with his little hands. This elicits a round of internal kicking (yes, my whole belly seems to move) . . . I'm wondering, is this a foreshadowing of what's to come?

OMG Carly - I'm laughing and crying at the same time! Your story is amazing! In the "old days" (my Dad's day), he used to tell me, "I held your mom's legs together as I sped to the hospital!" He said I was born within 5 minutes of arriving at the hospital! I'm the 2nd of 4 children! My Mom is also a nurse (worked over 50 years)! One day you'll have such fun sharing your birthing stories with your boys! Hug your precious boys for us - even the biggest one, Matt! HA You two look so happy and we are so very happy for the two of you! I know Sally and Shelton are happy grandparents, as well as your folks. I tell my Bekah that her biological clock is ticking (she's 26)! She just laughs and says actually my biological clock is ticking! Love to all, Susan and Ben
