Our Great Escape . . .

. . . to Ocean Isle Beach. We loved every minute of it! 1 Moore Street, our canal house, was simply perfect - wide sweeping decks overlooking the canal. Lots of porch swings to relax on. Swimming in the canal, boating in the waterway, and all the people around who love our boys! We really didn't want to come home.

Grey's opinion of the beach was, well, somewhat lacking in enthusiasm. He was not a fan of sand on his hands (or feet or eyes, for that matter), nor saltwater in his face. The waves were fun for a little while, until he received one to many splashes in the face. All-in-all, I think the beach will have to grow on him . . . a perfect picture of his "beach" face . . . ('please, I don't want any sand on my hands!')

Mom and Grey, relaxing on the deck swing, enjoying our beautiful view . . .

our back deck . . . so nice! many evenings spent out here with a glass of wine (or beer), listening to Jack Johnson . . . the ultimate relaxing way to spend a vacation

Our visit to David's (Becca's husband) sister's house . . . these are her two little girls, Margaret and Liza (maybe Grey is not a fan of girls yet) . . .

Our night out to eat with Stephanie and Jim, Becca and David, to Inlet View . . .

Grey, giving his brother a love pat . . .

My good friend, Christina, came to stay with us for a night (Friday night), this is her little girl Anabelle (one week younger than Grey) . . . Grey's face says it all.

In our little swimming pool with the Little family . . .

Last ride on the boat . . . Grey fell asleep on Aunt Becca (the sun is tiring!) . . .

I definitely had a hard time leaving! I really love the beach . . . and it was so nice to spend such a relaxing week with our loved ones. Mom and grandma (GG), along with Sally and Shelton, stayed with us Saturday (8/14/10) to Wednesday. Then Stephanie (our nanny) and Jim joined us for the rest of the week. The boys had an absolute ball! We hope to make this a yearly beach trip . . . that is, of course, until we finally buy our own beach house! :)

One Month Old

I think time must be on a roller coaster. Up hill until the delivery, and now that Cam is here, it's flying down hill. Already a month has gone by . . .

Our angel . . . (sleeping angel of course . . . when awake, not always so angelic, especially at 2am)
